Our Story
Making Mental Health Support Accessible to All
We first crossed paths while studying Psychology in the United Kingdom, and have been friends ever since. Together, we aspire to make concepts of psychological well-being and self-management tools accessible and affordable for everyone.
Two core principles guide our service:
(1) Mental wellness is more than simply the absence of disease. It is an active process
directed toward a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life.
(2) The cost of psychological support should not create additional worry or stress,
This is why we provide an alternative, low-cost solution to the existing mental health services in Hong Kong. We offer courses on common therapy topics, high-quality materials, and private support sessions, all at a price lower than a single traditional psychotherapy session. This initiative empowers those interested in psychology and mental health with the tools to prevent issues, while also offering early psychological support and knowledge to individuals experiencing mild mental health challenges, allowing them to take control of their own therapy.
Embracing Positive Psychology and Possibilities
Our service stands out by incorporating Positive Psychology to inspire transformation and unlock possibilities alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles. Rather than dwelling on what's wrong, this approach offers knowledge and skills to help us build on our strengths and flourish in life. It is possible for everyone to become their best selves.
Introducing Person Centre
Through this platform, you'll find courses and resources to help you reflect, rest, and creatively craft your own life. Our logo is a tribute to a famous psychology illusion and symbolizes the victory that can be attained through dialogue and engagement with others. Like many psychological illusions, it hinges on a shift in perception. If you're willing to take the first step, we'll guide you through the rest, and you'll experience the freedom of having a different perspective on situations you encounter and the decisions you make. At Person Centre, we consider everyone – our team, our friends, and all of you – part of our ‘Person’.
