It exists on a continuum. Depending on the situation, our mental wellbeing can fluctuate - moving up and down the continuum. We all experience different emotions at different times in our lives, and even within a single day.

At Person Centre, we understand that mental health is just as critical as physical health. SYNAPSE is an online platform that empowers you to prioritize your mental health and wellbeing, just as people visit a doctor when they're physically unwell or go to the gym to improve their physical fitness.

Our platform provides access to

  • evidence-based knowledge and tools in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Positive Psychology

  • 10 modules covering common topics that people seek in private therapy

  • Self-paced learning videos within each module and supplementary workbooks

  • Personalized messaging support from your Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

  • A set amount of free therapy or coaching sessions within each pricing plan, and additional therapy sessions upon request, at a discounted price of HK$350 per session

  • Free online group sessions

  • Our Wellness Network to attend wellbeing and wellness courses of your choice at a discounted price.

Our Approach: Combining CBT and Positive Psychology

Our approach is different from other psychotherapies in that we combine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Positive Psychology. We believe in the effectiveness of CBT techniques, but we also understand the value of utilizing your own strengths and resources to make positive changes. Rather than solely focusing on what's wrong and how to fix it, we help you build on what's already working well for you.

Eligibility

Our services cater to individuals who are 16 years or older and have at least one of the following goals (but not limited to):

  • Simply being interested in how Positive Psychology can help them maximize their potential and flourish in various aspects of their lives, such as work, study, relationships, and beyond.

  • Experiencing mental sub-health and is eager to level up and thrive! 'Mental subhealth' - a state between mental health and mental illness, where a person may not have a diagnosed mental illness but experiences symptoms or struggles with their mental well-being. It can include symptoms such as stress, anxiety, mild depression, and difficulty coping with daily life. Mental subhealth is not a clinical diagnosis, but rather a concept used to acknowledge and address mental health concerns before they develop into more critical conditions.

  • Looking for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools and coping skills to prevent & better manage mild to moderate mental health problems

Mental Health Check-in Test 

We offer a free initial screening test for depression and anxiety, based on our clinical experience in NHS England. While this test is not a diagnostic tool, it can provide you with a general sense of your mental well-being in terms of the level of depression and anxiety. You can also find out if we are the right service for you.
